Greek yogurt avocado cilantro lime dressing
Equipment
- Blender or food processor
- Cutting board and knife
- Measuring spoons and cups
- Spoon
- Storage Container
Ingredients
- 1 Avocado, ripe
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, plain
- 1/4 cup Fresh cilantro, chopped
- 2 tbsps lime juice
- 1 Clover Garlic, minced
- 2 tbsps Olive oil
- salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Prepare the ingredients
- Peel and pit the ripe avocado.
- Chop the fresh cilantro.
- Mince the garlic.
Blend the dressing
- In a blender or food processor, combine the ripe avocado and plain Greek yogurt. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Add the chopped cilantro and minced garlic to the blender.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice into the blender. Start with 2 tablespoons and adjust according to your taste preferences.
- Drizzle in the olive oil to add a rich and smooth texture to the dressing.
- Season the dressing with salt and pepper. Blend again until all ingredients are well incorporated.
- If the dressing is too thick, you can adjust the consistency by adding a little more olive oil or lime juice. Blend until you reach your desired thickness.
- Taste the dressing and adjust the lime juice, salt, or pepper if needed. Blend briefly after adjustments.
- For enhanced flavor, you can refrigerate the dressing for about 30 minutes before serving. This also allows the flavors to meld.
Optional
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh cilantro or a lime wedge before serving.
