My husband and I are raising our children bilingual; in the US. We found it difficult to download and print worksheets for our children online. Most websites make you pay for their resources and/or the links go nowhere.
I made it my mission to create and add fun worksheets, printables, flashcards, and more to our family blog. Please be patient with me as I’m raising three small children with my husband. But I will do my best to add new resources on a weekly basis.

Winter Worksheets in German - Beginner!
For Beginners
These worksheets are for language learners with a basic understanding of the German language.
The German Letters - Upper case and lower case letters
Your children get to practice writing their letters with this fun mitten worksheet. The left side focuses on Uppercase letters. Please note that the letter “ß” also known as scharfes “s” is never found in the beginning of a word. Hence, there is not an uppercase letter for it. I didn’t want to leave it off the worksheet completely since it is part of the German alphabet.
The right worksheet focuses on lower case letters. There is nothing you need to be aware of on this sheet.
The “Was ziehen wir im Winter an?” worksheet makes children think about the clothes they wear in the cold weather. This worksheet also allows children to practice writing. Please ALWAYS make sure to use the correct article (der, die, das) with each word you are teaching them. Learning the correct articles is very important.
The second worksheet teaches your children about the month that make up the winter season. I used images to help your children remember those months. Also, they will have the opportunity to write those months.

“Die Winteraktivitäten” is a great worksheet to make your children think more about the cold season and the activities families can engage in. Plus, it gives your children the opportunity to write sentences. The “Die drei Pinguine” allows your children to use their knowledge by coloring the three penguins.
