  • 1 1/2 lbs Baby potatoes quartered
  • 2 cups Sauerkraut drained (rinse if you prefer milder flavor)
  • 1 medium Onion onion

  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  • 1. Prep: Place potatoes and onions at the bottom of your slow cooker.
  • 2. Layer: Add sauerkraut on top, then arrange sliced kielbasa evenly.
  • 3. Season: Sprinkle with caraway seeds, pepper, and smoked paprika.

  • 5. Cook: Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until potatoes are fork-tender.
  • 6. Serve: Stir gently before serving and pair with mustard or rye bread.

Notes

For a milder flavor, rinse the sauerkraut before adding it to the crockpot. For extra richness, brown the kielbasa slices in a skillet before slow cooking; this adds a smoky, caramelized flavor to the final dish.
